I wrote about evernote a while back and wanted to give you an update. Evernote was invite only but now is open to all. Just visit the site and download your copy today.
Evernote is an awesome note taking application. It runs on the web, PC, Mac, handheld, cell phone, etc. All of your notes are synched to all of your locations. For example if you capture a screen clip of a website online, it will show in your desktop version of the software. Also, if you take a picture of something with your cell phone it will show in all of your other locations. Not only will it sync to your Mac, PC, and web versions; it will also be searchable.
Here’s an example of how I’ve been using evernote. I have a tablet PC running windows XP tablet edition…I use it to take handwritten notes in evernote (works great!). As soon as I finish taking notes, evernote syncs these notes to the evernote website. If I log into the site, I can see all my notes including this one I just finished. Also, if I move over to my mac, I can open my evernote notebook there and find the note I created on my tablet pc earlier today in my handwritting! It is awesome. AND…it is completely searchable! This is just the beginning; these guys are working everyday to improve this already incredible technology.
